Pakistan Closes Tiktok Network
Pakistan has once again banned the social networking company Tiktok for allegedly violating content ethics, but the country's media coordinator did not say whether the ban was temporary or permanent.

The Peshawar High Court ruled that some of the videos uploaded to the Tiktok platform were not acceptable to Pakistani society.

This is the second time Pakistan has banned the company from China, the first being in October last year, where its network was shut down for a few days for posting pornographic videos.

At the time Tiktok assured the Pakistani government that it would be careful to adhere to the country's cultural norms.

The two lawyers, who have applied for the new ban, have urged the court to block the Tiktok network until it complies with instructions from Pakistan's media coordinator.
